My first semi-successful stamping attempt! ...sort of.

Update: this didn't post at 2:30pm EST as planned but I'm going to upload it as it were anyway.

Hello everyone and happy hump day! I'm going to make this quick because I'm getting ready to board my flight home but I wanted to show you my first photo worthy stamping attempt.

The base is Orly Prelude to a Kiss, two coats, and the stamping was done with Zoya Myrta and Bundle Monster plate BM-206. You can see some areas where I didn't get a complete transfer but for the most part I think it looks ok. I had a little bit of an issue getting one of my thumbs completely covered so I removed it and tried again for a slightly better result. Unfortunately for this mani, the stamping didn't last through the night. I removed it shortly after these photos were taken.

Ok, now for my serving dish! I stopped by the shop around 8 am and it wasn't open yet so I had to make another trip at 11 am. Luckily the shop was finally open and this ceramic beauty is coming home with me, stowed safely in my carry on bag! Isn't it perfect!? And it was only $25, you couldn't buy a NEW one this cool for that price!

Just for funsies, here are some photos of the shop:

Alright, I made it just in time! They're calling my boarding group now so I'm signing off for now. Tell me, what did you think of my stamping... And my bad ass serving dish?

    1. I'm so happy with my new serving dish, it looks perfect in my home!

Now that I've had time to really think about my stamping I don't think it is too bad. I was very critical when it was on my nails, but it was also pretty late at night.

  2. BM plates can be too small for thumbnails unfortunately! It was a pretty design and colours even if it didn't last a whole night!

    And the dish is gorgeous!

    1. Thank you, and thank you! I know the second set has larger designs than the first but this was so weird. I could cover all my other nails including my other thumb without any other problem than my design not fully transferring. I did this late at night just to play around so there were some quality issues that don't show up in my low quality photos. That, and I'm a stickler lol.

I can't wait for my first legit opportunity to put my new dish into action!

  3. Yup, that dish is as freaking epic and you said it would be! I want it! And that is an excellent stamping job. My stamps always turn out messy and smudgy and gross....

    1. Thank you! I can't get over how awesome my find was, it just makes me happy, plain and simple. :) I think I'm getting better at stamping, so hopefully I'll have more stamping manis to show in the future.

    1. Thank you, I really take that as a compliment from you since your stamping is always so good! I like full nail design stamps better I think, but they're so much harder to get perfect!
