Stamping Sunday with Dark Shadows!

Good morning lovelies! I hope you've all had an excellent weekend so far. I'm still feeling a little under the weather but I do have a manicure for this week's Adventures in Stamping Sunday Stamping Challenge! This week's challenge was to use gold, silver, or bronze as either the base or stamping accent for your manicure. I obviously chose to do a gold accent.

My base color is Orly Buried Alive from the Dark Shadows Collection released in conjunction with the recent film. My stamping color was CND Gold Chrome and my plate was BM-208. This was my first time stamping with Gold Chrome and it worked wonderfully. You can see a little smudging on the tips of my nails and that is because I have the patience of a six year old and hate waiting until my base color is completely and fully dry. In person you couldn't really notice the imperfections because the whole mani was so sparkly.

Now, for the confession. This is the first brown polish that I have absolutely adored. Yes, I've worn shades of taupe and beige. But this is full on, in your face brown and I dig it. (No pun intended, I swear. But hell, I love a good pun so let's roll with it!) I'll rant about this color some more when I show you it's swatch on its own. LOVE it!
