Essie Pink Parka: the best Barbie doll hot pink EVAR!

Good morning everyone, I hope you're sleeping in and relaxing this morning. I'm planning on doing just that! In fact, this post, as well as the next few will be scheduled for your viewing pleasure while I'm out of town. Enjoy! <3

Today's post is dedicated to the incredibly bright underwear seen under my Barry M Croc Effects, shown in this past Thursday's post. I picked this polish up randomly when visiting my sister at work before she moved off to college. I think it was at a Beauty Center, I think. lol Something about it just caught my eye and I had to have it. Pink Parka was released as part of Essie's Fall 2009 collection... surprise! I had no idea and never would've guessed. This was obviously before I got heavy into polish, but I'm glad I've got it now.

I used two or three coats (again, I can't find my notes... must've lost that notebook!) for this swatch. It only needed two to be completely opaque but if my memory serves, I used a third to get it a little more even. But I could be wrong, ugh I'm so sorry! lol And yes, Pink Parka really is this bright in real life. I am amazed that my puny iPhone camera was able to capture this color so accurately. The formula on Pink Parka surprised me in that it was pretty good for a neon, not too chalky and it was pretty manageable. Only, like I already said, it needed a little extra care to level out the coats. Honestly, after I put on Croc Effects I was a little sad to see all the eye-searing brightness covered up. I'll be bringing this baby out to put on my toes in the middle of winter. For now, cheers to the end of summer!
